Even now that the Corona disaster has ended, many people are still starting to camp. There are many Campsites in the middle of Japan, and among them, I will introduce three campgrounds that I have actually visited.
This time, I picked up campsites in Ishikawa, Nagano, and Gifu Campsites in three prefectures in Chubu and Hokuriku! We will introduce the charms and recommendations of each campground, as well as campground fees and facilities.

Many people think of mountains when they think of camping, but as the name suggests, “Kikonmura Noto Senrihama Seaside Auto Campsite” is a campground located by the sea.
It is located at the entrance to the Noto Peninsula, near the famous Ishikawa driving spot called Senrihama Nagisa Driveway.
It is recommended as you can feel the ocean close by and spend a peaceful time while listening to the sound of the ocean.
It is a 3-minute walk from the auto site to the ocean, where you can camp while enjoying morning walks, beautiful sunsets, and swimming in the summer.
There are also lodging facilities at the entrance of the campground, where you can use the hot spring water from the source.
Campground Attractions and Recommendations
The “Vacation Village Noto Senrihama Seaside Auto Campsite” is a spot where you can feel close to the sea in the midst of nature.If you do not have a tent, there is an open space where you can freely play catch or Frisbee.
The campground is only a 3-minute walk from the beach, and one of the charms of this campground is that you can see the beautiful sunset if you go there at the time of sunset in the evening.
Taking pictures with the sunset on the white sand beach will surely make for some very nice photos!
I think camping in a place where the ocean is nearby and surrounded by trees is an even more unique experience that is hard to find.

KAKUHOMURA NOTO Senrihama Seaside Auto Campsite” is divided into the following four sections.
● Sites with dome-shaped tents (capacity for 4 persons, limited to GW and summer vacation periods)

Auto-lot site (with floor deck)

Auto free site (unblocked site, cars can be parked inside the site)

There are cooking facilities (2 in the auto free site and 1 in the sectioned site), toilets, and an administration building.
The cooking building is conveniently located close to all sites.
A natural spring water hot spring is available at the lodging facility, a 10-minute walk from the campground.
Fees are: Adults: 700 yen, children: 500 yen, infants (4 years and older): 300 yen, toddlers (under 3 years): 0 yen.
Lake Kisaki POW WOW Campground & Outdoor Club (Omachi, Nagano)
Kisaki Lake POW WOW Campground & Outdoor Club” is located near a lake called Kisaki Lake, where you can enjoy camping by the lake.You can enjoy the view of the beautiful lake from your tent site.If you want to enjoy the view of the forest and lake, this campground is for you.
This campground offers activities other than camping, such as stand-up paddle (SUP), canoeing, and fishing.
Campground Attractions and Recommendations
At Kisaki Lake POW WOW Campground & Outdoor Club, campers can camp between the forest and the lake, and the vast lake scenery is beautiful.
The activities available on the lake are also recommended for families and couples to enjoy, such as SUP, canoeing, fishing, and tent saunas.
It is especially recommended for active people and sauna lovers!
You can also try SUP with an instructor in a group course, even if you are a beginner, so you can enjoy the experience with peace of mind.
Silent time is from 9:00 p.m. and lights out at 10:30 p.m. This is a great place for families and those who want to relax and enjoy the starry sky in peace.

There is an administration building, parking lot, flush toilets (1), running water (3), water showers, hot water coin showers, and changing rooms so that visitors can change their clothes safely after playing in the lake.
There is also a day spa 5 minutes away by car.
Meiho Campsite (Gunjo City, Gifu Prefecture)
Meiho Campground is a campground located in the mountains full of nature.The air is clean and the negative ions will heal you.At night, the sky is starlit and you can enjoy the best location, making it a great place for those who want to be healed by nature.
There is a roadside station nearby, and a 20-minute drive will take you to a hot spring facility called “Meiho Onsen Yuseikan” where you can bathe in natural hot spring water.

Meiho Campsite is surrounded by mountains, so you can enjoy camping quietly in the mountains.The negative ions will help you to relax from your daily fatigue, and the stars are beautifully visible.
There is a river nearby, so you can enjoy camping while listening to the murmuring of the river.Tall trees grow thickly, and the sun shining through the trees is pleasant during the day, and at night you can see the fantastic starry sky through the trees.
The air is clean and the air you breathe is really delicious!
There is also a roadside station nearby, so you can buy souvenirs there and return home without any inconvenience in the mountains.
Freshly brewed coffee in the morning in the forest where the air is delicious is exceptional.

There is an administration building, a covered BBQ building, a cooking area, a shower room, a washing/drying machine, and three flush toilets.
You can also enjoy playing in the Yoshida River, or take a walk in the plaza located in the center of the campground.
Since the weather is changeable in the mountains, if it is raining and you do not want to stay in a tent, you can call and ask them to change to a bungalow.

I have introduced three campgrounds that I have actually visited. At each campground, you can enjoy the ocean, mountains, forests, lakes, and rivers to the fullest, and the biggest attraction is that you can get in touch with nature a lot.
The views of the ocean and lakes are so beautiful that you will want to visit again and again.
